You must be living in a vanvas (exile) if you don’t know about the movie Adipurush. There has been a lot of buzz about this movie for a long time. It is not only because of the big star cast that the movie has but also because it is based on the Hindu epic, Ramayana. The movie was made with a big budget (approx. ₹600 crore) & it narrates the story of the original Ramayana with modern VFX techniques.

Adipurush Movie Premise

Adipurush is a retelling of the epic Hindu mythology, the Ramayana. The movie aims to showcase the grandeur of the ancient tale while presenting a fresh and visually captivating cinematic experience. The story revolves around Lord Rama portrayed by Prabhas, Sita portrayed by Kriti Sanon, Laxman portrayed by Sunny Singh & Lankesh portrayed by Saif Ali Khan. The movie is based on the theme of Celebrating Good over Evil.

In the movie Adipurush, the king Dashratha sends his son Lord Rama to live in a 14-year exile. Lord Ram, along with his wife Sita, and his brother Laxman, decides on living in exile for 14-years. Their lives over there were peaceful, but not for long. their peaceful existence is disrupted when the demon king Ravana (Lankesh), with his immense power and a desire to conquer all, abducts Sita and takes her to his kingdom, Lanka.From then on, the movie shows their challenges, encounters with mythical creatures, and alliances forged along the way, showcasing their bravery, loyalty, and unwavering faith.

Adipurush culminates in an epic battle between Lord Rama and Ravana, symbolizing the eternal struggle between good and evil. It is expected to showcase Lord Rama’s exceptional skills as a warrior and his unwavering dedication to righteousness.

Adipurush Teaser Reactions

This movie’s timeline is long. No, not the duration of the movie, thank god.
However, the movie was announced almost three years ago in August 2020, the photography and editing happened in 2021, in the last of 2022, the first teaser for the movie dropped. The, in June 2023, the trailer for one of the most awaited movie dropped. By June 16, 2023, Adipurush released everywhere in India.
